SeeWisdom believes that the best
way to teach effectively is to SHOW what to do. Many, if
not most, complex activities are difficult to explain effectively
through words alone. To take a few examples: CPR instructions;
proper use of medical diagnostic systems; how to sell a
new product; computer troubleshooting. All of these activities,
and so many more, are difficult to learn how to do without
having someone walk you through a demonstration of how to
do it correctly.
Unfortunately, many e-learning companies take a straightforward
learning objective and storyboard it to death. Using animated
characters and employing patronizing games, they develop
a 2-hour lesson plan to teach a 15-minute activity. At SeeWisdom,
we believe that our client's training audiences are intelligent
adults who value their time; we doubt that paid professionals
appreciate a Saturday morning cartoon approach to training
and in fact do not need the material "dumbed down"
to understand it.
Instead, SeeWisdom strives to provide training that feels
like a one-on-one tutorial that is offered peer-to-peer.
Our solutions provide clear video shots that show, usually
from several angles, what one should do in a given situation;
when appropriate, the video is augmented with graphical
animations to highlight or focus in on particular elements.
Audio guides reassuringly explain to the audience specifically
what to do, and our solutions also demonstrate common mistakes
that occur so that viewers are made aware of what to especially
avoid. Video and audio-based self-tests allow the viewers
to test their knowledge at the lesson conclusion or interspersed
within the tutorial.
Our clients tell us that their training audiences vastly
prefer SeeWisdom's respectful and careful approach to demonstration-based
teaching.
